This sucks!! Interview Aug 28, went well and was approved. Since then my status on CEAC has said Non-Immigrant Visa with a creation date and update as of Aug 28. Called DOS they say they can't tell what the embassy is waiting for. Emailed the embassy last week and they said the case is going through administrative processing. What are they processing? I don't even know what else to do.

Same boat as you though it has been only a few days since interview. From what I understand this is specific to each case and happens because after approval the case has to be reviewed, papers have to be filed and scanned, visa has to be created and attached to the passport. During this time if questions are asked about additional missing paperwork or an issue is spotted it's referred to a case officer who will follow up and send any requests for info to the applicant. This is where it can get delayed. So it's not over until the fat lady sings. Not that the case officer is necessarily fat or sings! ;)
