As per my signature timeline, I submitted my AOS package on 8/7/13 and this morning received an email that my interview has been scheduled for October 28th! I'm extremely happy as I supoose this could mean I may receive my greencard before my EAD? My question is whether I'm getting ahead of myself - does this mean my package was deemed complete and I'm past the nail-biting stage of a potential RFE?

Thanks for the reassurance!

Sometimes the green card is approved before the EAD and so the EAD is never even needed. It most likely means everything was in order, but an RFE can even happen at the interview if they feel they need you to submit additional evidence.

As Jay-Kay said above, you can be RFE'd at the interview (or even after it). Make sure you take original certified copies of vital documents to your interview (birth certificates, marriage certificates, etc.) because if they ask to see one and you don't have it then they will RFE you for it.
