You do not need to provide any such affadavits, and they count for very little.

I have read here many times that affidavits do not carry much weight with the USCIS phase. That may be true, but I also read here the personal experience of a VJ member from several years ago at the Embassy in Sofia, Bulgaria for her interview. She wrote that the interviewing officer seemed to be impressed by affidavits from US citizens....family members and friends of the USC petitioner. (So I would say don't bother with affidavits from non-USC's) The Embassy was also impressed with photos of the applicant with the USC family members who submitted affidavits.

I believe in sending too much evidence rather than not enough or even rather than just enough. So I sent a lot, including affidavits of USC's, and photos with USC family members, to the USCIS with the I-130. Hopefully they have ben forwarded with the NVC documents to the Embassy so that the consular officials will have had a chance to see them before the interview. If they have not made it to the Embassy, my wife has copies which she will take with her.

How many affidavits ? I sent 3 from immediate family members (my mother, my adult son, and my sister) and 3 from USC friends. All of them had met my now wife last summer when she visited here for 2 months and we had pictures as well with everyone. The affidavits that I submitted were typed out on plain paper and the signatures were notarized here in the US. BTW, the affidavits do not have to be from people who were present at your marriage, but just from people who believe that your marriage is bona fide, and not for immigration purposes.

Compared to other Feb 2013 filers, our petition made it through USCIS in pretty good time. I have no idea why....but the glut of evidence certainly did not hurt.
