 ok, this is probably a stupid question, but I was just wondering if you have to fill out another i94 or any other form besides the customs form when returning to the US as a LPR? I vaguely remember the flight attendant were handing out green and white forms to chose from.

Anyone know?

Lawful Permanent Residents (LPRs) and U.S. citizens receive stamps in their passports but are not issued I-94s.

When I traveled to the UK last year, as a Legal Permanent Resident, when I returned I was told that because I was a Green Card holder that I needed to complete the same form as a US citizen - not a British citizen visiting the US.

I hope this helps.

Our journey started in 2001 and it's still not over. It's been a rollercoaster ride all the way! Let me off - I wanna be sick!

I'm pretty sure they don't fill out *any* form (but as I'm neither a USC nor an LPR, I'd wait for someone else to confirm that!)... I do know that the green forms are the I-94Ws (for people entering on the VWP) and the white ones are I-94s (for people entering with visas) - neither of which would apply to you... I think.

(edited to add: you would probably still have to fill in a customs form, though!)

You need to fill in the "Customs" form declaring the value of the things you bought abroad and answering the "did you bring meat/fruit/seeds" etc. questions. I think it's one form per household, regardless of whether you are a USC or a LPR.

No Immigration forms are necessary for a LPR though!

Have fun in Germany! B)

Yes, that's right. You only need to fill out the customs form, which all US citizens and LPRs have to do. No immigration forms are necessary if you're an LPR -- despite what the air stewards on the plane might try to tell you!

30 June 2006 - received packet 3 from Sydney Consulate to do DCF

July 2006 - discover Sydney are changing their DCF process

8 September 2006 - have fingerprints taken, post police check form to AFP

12 September 2006 - medical

21 September 2006 - receive police check from AFP

23 September 2006 - wedding day!

12 October 2006 - hubby files I-130 in Sydney during Thursday walk-in (and I-864). I file DS-230 parts 1 and 2, and DS-2001.

31 October 2006 - interview date... and I'm approved!

1 November 2006 - pick-up visa from Sydney Consulate

14 November 2006 - arrive in the US!

22 November 2006 - greencard arrives in mail

24 November 2006 - social security card and welcome letter arrive
