Okay so here we are. My spouse has been here in US for 2 months and we are moving. Just down the street but of course a new residence address as well as mailing address. My wife has already received her Social Security Card and her Permanenet Resident Card. Who do we need to notify of the change of address? And how? Do we both need to file a change of address? With whon and how? I am the sponsor/husband. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Either online or Fill AR11 form for her.

Okay, so maybe I am brain dead but do I/we have an open case? Of course we have to adjust status in 17 months or so...does that mean our case is still open? And I as the sponsor do I need to file an address change also?

AFAIK, open case implies that you have a petition that is awaiting action.

No, you have no open case if you entered on an IR-1 / CR-1. You will also not be adjusting status in 17 months but will instead be (presumably) filing for RoC; adjustment of status is something different.

In addition, any sponsors or joint sponsors who completed an I-864 and are also changing address are obligated to complete an I-865 within 30 days of moving.
