Hi everybody!

I would like to ask about the vaccination record. So my vaccinations weren't completed before my visa was issued and now I'm apllying for AOS. I have a copy of the DS-3025 but it says "vaccine history incomplete". I went to a civil surgeon over here in America to get the missing shots and they don't want to give them to me without another medical exam even though it says it in the instructions that I don't need one if I came on a K1 visa.

Anyone had the same experience?

I don't know what pages I need completed in the form I-693 since I don't have complete vaccinations.

And can I get the vaccines at my family doctor and than just show it to the civil surgeon?

And does anybody know if the flu shot is required or if it's optional? I really don't want one and the Americans are not required to have it so I really hope it's not necessary.

Anyone had the same experience? We were able to find a CS that would do the vaccination portion only (found the CS in VJ search)

I don't know what pages I need completed in the form I-693 since I don't have complete vaccinations. The civil surgeon fills the I-693, not you (it's part 1, 3, and last page "vaccination record").

And can I get the vaccines at my family doctor and than just show it to the civil surgeon? Yes, just be sure to bring the document show proof of being vaccinated.

A. For purposes of the immigration medical examination, the flu season starts on October 1 and ends on March 31 each year. If your immigration medical examination is during this period, you are required to have the seasonal flu vaccine. If you have an immigration medical examination completed between April 1 and September 30, when it is not the flu season for immigration purposes, you are not required to document that you have received the seasonal flu vaccine.

This is probably why some CS are unwilling to just sign off the vaccination section of the I-693, but if you look at the I-693 instructions under section 3.3.c. It addresses this issue.

Many of the civil surgeons will insist on a new medical even though it is not required for the K-1. You may have to call around to many of them before finding one that is willing to do the vaccinations only.
