After Entering United states and after getting married, what else we need to do other than Adjustment of Status?

I-129F Sent : 2013-03-07

I-129F NOA1 : 2013-03-15

I-129F NOA2 : 2013-07-26

MNL Received : 2013-08-12

Medical Date: 2013-08-27 Passed

Interview Date : 2013-09-10

Interview Result : Approved smile.png

Visa Received : 2013-09-19

CFO Date: 2013-09-20

Departure Date: 2013-09-27

US Entry : Seattle

Marriage : 2013-10-05

Adjustment of Status package sent: 2013-10-28

Biometric Appointment: 2013-11-25

AOS interview Date: 2014-01-29 Approved

Green card received: 2014-02-05

Processing
Estimates/Stats :

Your I-129f was approved in 133 days from your NOA1 date.

Apply for the SSN. But after AOS there is not much to do but enjoy life for a couple years.

Is it okay to apply SSN before getting married? Because my plan is when he arrives this Friday. We will apply for marriage licence and SSN if possible the same day the next Monday.

Absolutely. You need to wait for about 7-10 days for the info to get into the system then there should be no issue getting the SSN

Yes it is true. The fee for EAD is waived with a pending AOS application. You may want to file for advance parole (AP) or the I-131 also.

Yes you can file the I-765 and the I-131 for free if you do it with the I-485

Definetely get SSN before you marry, it will make things easier later on. After 7-8 days after POE, go to your local SSN office and apply. The clerk will roll their eyes and say you are not eligible. Just ask for supervisor and explain as a K1 you ARE eligible. There are numerous posts and directions here on VJ. Follow the directions and you are set.
