You have to type in the number that corresponds with the first three letters. like, A, B or C type the number 2, etc. Yeah, it works

Congrats to you both! I saw in the timelines NVC received your file!

Got my number today -- about 44 days after NOA2.

Congrats! The only problem is that you were the best on here about tracking the stats on this part, so now we lose your input ;-)

We have NOA2 on Sep 10, so here's hoping to get ours within the next 3 weeks.

Thanks! We're both still frustrated, but soon we will have an appointment at the consulate, and then we will be happy dancin5hr.gif

Understandably! We are too, but hey, this journey is not for the faint of heart. :D Good luck with the next steps!

Just for the heck of it I called all three ( NVC, DOS, and CSC <-- in that order wink.png ) to see if case has been sent to NVC yet. I know I am jumping the gun so to say as it's only been just over 2-weeks since NOA2 but by the sounds of it, best to let them know you're on to their delay-shipping game. Crazy thing is when I finally got through to CSC after confirming via DOS and NVC that case has not been received, CSC said not to call them back for 120-days as nothing can be done to track the case and find it's location until then -- ie: until my approval expires?!? Blah! Makes NO sense! I did not ask for a Tier 2 though. May try that next Friday if still nothing.

In my humble opinion, the more people call after the two week mark the more pressure is put on CSC to speed up the darn delay!!! Of course, that would happen in a "perfect" world. <<sign>> At the very least, it's giving me something to feel productive for the time being while waiting in their black-hole of a shipping queue.... What number did you use to call CSC? Always called the National customer service number. Customer service at DOS has been better than USCIS/NVC except for one time.

Yes, my bad it was the national number not CSC directly ;-/ 800-375-5283. I did find a number directly to CSC and called them but they stated they could not answer my question and gave me the number to the national USCIS helpline.

I couldn't agree more! DOS is wayyyy better than NVC! They actually invite me to call daily?!!? Love them! rolleyes.gif

I was just sitting here reading my NOA2 again and noticed that in the first line in the body of the notice states, "We have sent the original visa petition to the Department of State National Visa Center (NVC)." Hmmmmm..... interesting as no one can actually confirm this.

Allright. NOA2 does indicate to call NVC after 30 days of the approval notice. I wouldn't mind carrying over the case from USCIS to NVC now with all the government shutdown in place. :-)
