the vice-consul thinks you qualify for USA Citizenship, and wrote that (IR-5)

at least, that's what I think.

when you say you 'applied for your mum' - exactly, what, did you apply FOR ?

The CO is worried you have/will apply for citizenship while the parents are in the US. They can then overstay and adjust status while they are here, once you become a citizen.

They will need to show very strong ties to the home country to overcome this presumption.

Applied for my mum twice and all they wrote on the letter was IR5 without explanation. The 2nd time mydad had it bur my mumstill disnr. I need my mom here because I just had a baby and need the help. Heeeeeeeelllllllllllllp

Give more information. People are wiling to help here but cant if you provide insufficient information.

If you are trying to bring your mom on a green card, then you cant coz you need to be a citizen for that. She can however apply for a visit visa.

I applied for a visit or tourist viisa for both in-laws. They gave my father in-law 5 years but refused his wife. All the explanations they gave was IR5. This does not make sense because neither my wife and I are US citizens. We are permanent residents.

When my father inlaw went for his visa and inquired they said it was a mistake by the person who interviewed my mother inlaw the first time (Note: she applied previously alone)
