Hi,

I've just started using Visa Journey and I haven't seen any recent postings about this so I'm hoping I've put this in the right place...

Our Packet 3 was allegedly sent to us by the Montreal Consulate on June 21 but we never received it. Reading older posts on VJ makes me think this is a common occurence. We finally got an email on August 27th telling us to download the checklist.

We sent the packet August 28th via Loomis. They say it was delivered August 29th.

Our Packet 3 still hasn't been logged to date (September 24, 2013). Last Wednesday the CEAC status check told us our case was ready and we should book our interview. The DOS call centre says Packet 3 has not been logged. This morning, the agent there told me our case had been put in AP? I questioned that but she didn't seem interested in explaining anything to me.

I thought AP happened during the interview stage not at Packet 3????

I'm wondering if anyone else with a recent timeline is still waiting for Packet 3 to be logged and/or if theirs took this long.

Also, has anyone heard of AP happening between Packet 3 and 4?

I have emailed Montreal and used the online inquiry form, but of course we'll be waiting a month for a response.

Any advice would be really greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks!

I'm new at this, too.. but maybe its in AP because you booked an Interview prior to receiving your Packet 4? That's a no-no... but I don't know why you would be in AP for that. Perhaps they found something in your Packet 3 that doesn't jive?

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one wondering what's going on... even though I've only been waiting a week for my Packet 4.

There;s a VJ member (from Canada, filing with MTL) who sent their Packet 3 on Sept 13th and received their packet 4 on the 20th (and luckily nabbed an interview date!)... while most people are still waiting in limbo like yourself.

Hope they get things rolling soon...

CDName - thanks for the response, I'm glad to know its not just us, although confused as to how that other member seems to have flown the process ahead of us. I've read so much about how slow Montreal is and how frustrating they can be to deal with. I guess we just have to be patient, as hard as that is! I talked to another agent at the DOS today who said we're not in AP and that the first agent was wrong. We have received so much conflicting information from the DOS and the CEAC website, its hard to know what to believe. Keep me updated on your Packet 3. I'll post again if we get any more info. Good Luck!!!!!!!

I've been calling DOS and getting conflicting information, too. On Monday the agent told me my Packet 3 was logged. I called today and they said it wasn't. Now I have a mystery CEAC update today with no Packet 4 e-mail. I'm going to call them in the am again. I'll let you know if I hear anything!

Thank you and best of luck to you!

MTL responded to my email within a day. We got packet 4 via email within a few days of sending P3. I wouldn't bother trying to get information from any other entity, MTL has the case now, try to deal with them directly.

You must be one of the lucky ones who got their Packet in the MTL mail room when they pick up the parcels once bi-weekly (it seems!).

I sent my Packet 3 on the 16th, confirmed delivery on the 17th.... no Packet 4 e-mail yet :/

Thanks for the head's up - I'm going to e-mail MTL directly today.

I swear, I'm trying to be patient... but failing terribly. I will feel so much better having my interview date. We just unfortunately have some time restrictions on the USC side we're hoping will work out.

I'm also moving to NC.
