Don't know... just know there will be another holiday very soon and the embassy will be closed for that.

It's a Muslim celebration for commemorating the end of the pilgrimage to Mecca. At the start of the year, they already set the date of October 15 for Eidul Adha, which is a Tuesday. So maybe there will be a more updated proclamation as to when exactly they'll set this holiday.

Does anyone know about how long the Philippine Government usually waits on announcing things like this? My fiancee's interview is scheduled for the 15th of October, but we haven't gotten any notices or anything that we need to reschedule. Also, all of the official US sources don't mention anything about closing on the 15th.

Far as I know the President hasn't signed the proclamation yet... so its more waiting.

i hope they won't coz my interview date is on the 15th, if so once i have my fiance's documents this week i'll try to find an earlier interview date rather than risking it on the 15th if in case.

The proclamation came out on the 3rd. It said that it was going to be a regular holiday not a special non-working holiday. I guess this means the U.S. Embassy won't be closed?

Nothing is showing on the embassy website about closing on the 15th of Oct. They do show being closed on the 14th which is normal.

thank you for the concern, luckily i was able to reschedule mine yesterday from october 15 to october 7, so my interview will be on monday, yay! i believe there are still open slots for 8 &9, yesterday they opened around 50 slots per day for 7,8 and 9 and now only 8 & 9 are available.
