Bank Statements??

Hi guys!

I'm trying to figure out how far back I have to bring to the interview as far as bank statements are concerned.

I got three months worth for everyone, because that it what I originally saw on this website some months ago.

However, I saw somewhere else, someone saying 12 months worth?

Which is correct?

Are you using assets for you i-864? 3 months for London is likely sufficient.

my i-864 won't include bank statements because I don't have checkings/savings. I have our joint account, but I don't think I can add that as assets cause it's both of ours. I printed three months of that though. The other assets (stock and trust) are proved with a professional statement and forms.

Also, is it okay to staple the I864 together?

No - I have a co-sponsor. My mother. For myself, I don't meet the income level, so I'm adding personal assets, which still don't meet the level, so I also have a co-sponsor.

I'm doing a co-sponsor too. As I haven't been working. But I haven't seen anywhere that I need to provided bank statements.

I thought using a co-sponsor was enough? Maybe it varies Embassy to Embassy. Will check on that.

Co-Sponsor is enough but you are required by law, as a petitioner, to fill in an affidavit of support, which implies that you need to provide some bank statements as well.

Even though it says no need to, I still am going to bring everything. I like to be overly prepared, in case you get someone who's having a bad day and decides to ask for EVERY little thing.

Since I checked what some of it said though, I might have my mother send over more statements to meet a years worth. Just in case.
