K1: 3 Weeks on READY status and found out we are on Administrative Review

Hi guys!

I just called the embassy to check on our situation because our status hasn't changed since our interview. Ready since September 3.

Just found out that we are on Administrative Review. They're gonna follow up my case to the team in charge of my visa and was advised to call again within the week. So I am gonna try to call again on Wednesday.

Anyone experience this here in the US Embassy Manila?

I'm getting a little worried and frankly, a little frustrated. Sometimes you cant help it.

Basically, no forms or letters were given during the interview and i was told that my visa was approved and wait for my visa.

Maybe a possible delay on our visa is that I was born in Libya? Could that be a flag? But i grew up here in the Philippines with my Mom and Grandparents.

Last time i was there was the year 2000, i was 14 then. But I have no plans going back because my parents are separated. The CO knows my situation so I don't think it would be a very big problem.....hopefully.

Any inspiring words would be very truly helpful

Hang in there, A_Saif! It will be there soon. As Bumbero said, they just have to do the checks. But since you mentioned the CO knows / asked about this during your interview and he didn't ask for any more documentation or further proof, then you should be good.

One never knows what goes on behind those closed doors at USEM. We all can guess... but it's just that. AP takes as long as it takes, one more test of your patience. Sorry.

Just received a phone call from USEM asking for the original copy of my fiance's divorce decree. This sucks. They should have asked for the original copy since they instructed me to drop documents at 2GO and not 'a copy'..Oh well. I must still be thankful that I know my case is really on AP and has continuous updates..
