Hi everyone,

I need to look for my kids' biological father, he disappeared since we broke up. I can't contact him by phone, email..etc. I don't know much about him. Now I have the need to find him to discuss about the kid's custody. In other word, I need to publish an advert on newspaper in either CO or CA to look for him in order to complete my file for sole custody here in court VN. Can anyone of you please tell me which newspapers I can do so and is it possible when I am all the way in VN? Is there any online newspaper that I can use? I don't need to publish in a famous big one either. All I need is evidence that I was trying to look for him. Please help me, this is very urgent. Any info and input is greatly appreciated.

I would contact the probate court where you got your divorce and ask them which papers you need to advertise in and for how long to satisfy the court that you attempted to find him. I would get this requirement in writing from the court also. Then contact the newspapers and file a notice in their public notices section. Most newspapers will allow you to post ads via the internet.

@Teddy B: My ex and I never married. I have already published an advert on local newspapers here in my country. He is an American and lives in US, I need to post ads in US to prove that I was trying to look for him. Thank you so much for your information

Ok, the same should still apply for the ads though, whether you married or not. Contact the probate court from the areas you need to place the ads and follow those instructions. Good luck.
