So my fiancés interview is this week and I'm kind of nervous because there is something wrong on my Biographic data (G-32A) form. It states that I was unemployed. Now, when I sent in the petition I did not know that I would have to pay taxes on the income I received in 2012 as a contractor. So in light of this, I decided to not have a co sponsor as I make enough to support us both.

Do you guys think that will throw up a red flag for them? Is there anything I should do?

I am attending the interview with him. Wish us luck, guys!

In order to substantiate the income you will have to provide tax records, preferably transcripts from the IRS but a return with 1099s, etc. would suffice. Are you saying you did not file for tax year 2012? If so I think you have a couple of issues; one is related to any tax you might owe and the fact that a return must be submitted regardless, and the second is the accuracy of the information you provided on the biographic form. My advice (and it's just my advice) would be to make right on the taxes and use this to substantiate your income for the purposes of the visa. Granted that might slow things down but it seems to me (and again it's just an opinion) the best route to take.

Am I misunderstanding your situation?

A little bit. I'm okay on the taxes - everything's fine there. The problem is the inaccuracy on the form - which states that I was unemployed for 2012.
