Advice needed

I had my interview at the embassy on Thursday (8th) and my application has been suspended (K3 visa). They require my medical results (had medical on Thursday as well so that shouldn't take long), and an IRS form from my husband. I was told to call the courier company once I have the documents to arrange a collection and delivery to the embassy. I was also told to send my passport in with the documents? Why do they need my passport and how long will they keep it? Any help or advice is much appreciated.

I-751

10/15/08 - Received NOA1

11/07/08 - Received Biometrics letter

12/05/08 - Biometrics Appointment

03/20/09 - Transfered from VSC to CSC

04/01/09 - Approved

05/01/09 - 10 year green card received in the mail

It's most likely that your visa will be approved once they receive the documents requested. Since you will be K3, they visa will be attached inside a page of your passport. So, it looks good for you!
