CFO BRIBERY COMPLAIN

My fiance got hit with the Sputum test even though she has had her vaccinations and showed the paperwork. I told her to go back with 10,000php and ask the doctor to confirm if she really needs the sputum test. I know, wrong on so many levels but I would gladly pay it and some to bypass that 2 months waiting. Of course she is a better person than I and didn't go for it.

She has had a couple of medical exams done over the last year for new jobs and their x-ray's didn't show anything.

St Lukes doesn't care about medical exams/xrays conducted by other clinics/hospitals/doctors. All they care about is their own findings because they are the only accredited facility by the U.S. DOS, USEM and CDCP.

There's no way to bypass the sputum. If she doesn't want to undergo it, no visa.

The bribe police at the CFO Manila are in full force today. I fiancee is there right now. I followed there site with all document that I needed. I even looked on other sites. Now they want my Birth Certificate and they say that an official court order from the USA of divorce is not acceptable for proof of being single. I know that this country is the corruptest country that I have ever been to or seen and I was in the US Navy for 20 years. Seen some corrupt countries.

Wanting a copy of the USC birth certificate is pretty standard for CFO as is asking for a copy of the divorce decree. No one is looking for a bride, those are common documents to be asked for.

There is more info on CFO in my link below.

Hank these are the requirments that are listed on the website. If they want more things then they should write them down. Why would they need my Birth Certificate? What does that have to do with anything for her to leave this country? This is nothing more then a bribe.

  1. Two (2) valid identification cards (IDs) with photograph;
  2. Duly completed guidance and counseling form;
  3. If married, original and photocopy of marriage contract on security paper from the National Statistics Office, or Local Civil Registry Offices; or original and photocopy of marriage contract duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy/ Consulate (if married abroad)
  4. Other documents as may be required by the counselors; and
  5. Payment of P400.00 counseling fee.

This is some shady ...So they ask for a bribe after the counseling is done? or if you refuse the bribe in the beginning their going to give you a hard time in the end? does anyone have a step by step guide for this CFO? I dont understand why they need all this paper work everything is already done with the VISA...I thought the CFO is just teaching is about the culture in the U.S. and how to get help if you need it.

2014/1/28 Sent I129f application

I know corruption exists in the Philippines. That said, I am always surprised by the amount of problems I hear about people having at the CFO, getting marriage licenses, etc. We never paid a centavo over the listed price to take care of any of these things.

No CFO does not ask for a bride, they had a problem before, but that person was "removed", someone is annoyed and ranting... not that it will help.

There is info on CFO in my link, follow that and you should have no issues.

I didn't have any issues at the CFO when I did mine. Out of the 16 or 17 applicants that were there, I heard of only one who didn't get the certificate and sticker, and that was because the divorce decree of the USC indicated mental instability as the reason for the divorce.

Check my timeline for K-1 visa & AOS details

Well just for all you experts in your Ivory tower there were 15 people attended and 4 received the Certificate. Humm smells fishy to me.

Hank yes I have read that but without clarification form the government you can expect to be asked about anything. Next thing they want is a car title of your car that you own. Where does it stop?

Sweat cakes you have no creditability from what you say.

I thought that this was a forum for experiences? So when I put my experience then I am discredited as being someone making something up? Humm I will not put my experience up and for the next person that goes there and gets the same treatment thanks all the nice people here on VJ.

Peace.

I am very aware of the email at the being of this topic :) ....

... the guy that was enticing bribes was fired. ;) (I could check my old emails to CFO and check when but it was some months back for sure)

You want to get the sticker... don't fight "city hall"

So have you missed seeing the email address for complaints or not? Which one is it? ;)

Like Hank said, nobody is asking for a bribe, they are only asking for documents which have been asked from everybody else.

Your experience boils down to showing up without everything that CFO is known to require , you are not the first to get annoyed with CFO.

Hard reality is - don't provide what they request and there is no CFO sticker = not exiting the Philippines.

There have been zero bride issues mentioned since the guy was fired.

I try to keep the info on CFO as updated as possible with what they request. The list has grown over the years ;)

So have you missed seeing the email address for complaints or not? Which one is it? ;)

Cheers to that, Hank! I saw you have updated your website with this email address info. :)

I added that email address for CFO last year.

^^ This. They (CFO) want to be certain that there is a USC waiting for the beneficiary in the USA, particularly the petitioner of the K-1 Visa.
