its urgent and need help !!

Hi,

i would be really hepful if some one could tel us following doubts for us

1. whether K 1 fiance visa need to fill Ds-260 form

2. we havent receive package 3 and 4, so we got our interview appointment through email. and we were asked download the package 3 and 4 from the link provided and follow that link . so in package 2 it stated that fill up Ds-2001 and Ds-230 and return it immiediately back to embassay but we try to inquiry that with embassay they told us we dont need to return it to embassay as we can bring it on the day of interview at the same time they told us to follow the instructions provided on the package 3 and 4 so i am really confused which one to follow so my question is do we have to return those two form to embassay before the interview or can we just take it along with us on the day of interview ?

If you have the appointment date already, I believe you don't need to send the forms back. Just make sure to take those with you during your interview date. About the DS-260 form, I'm not sure about it, too...

We are still waiting for our petition file to be acknowledged by the embassy. It was sent to a different country but I have already checked the packet3 instructions online and I'm confused about DS-260, too! Let's wait for the others who had the same experience.

We had the same happen to us, received the interview appointment letter by email but nothing else. We downloaded packet 3 and 4 from online. My fiance's interview is tomorrow (at Mumbai consulate) and this is what we are doing. We were told not to send anything to the embassy ahead of time, just to complete everything and take it to the interview. Regarding the DS260, we were initially told (by us travel docs) to complete it. However, once we reviewed the form we were uneasy with one of the questions, it pertains to the petitioner and being a "spouse". Of course we didn't want to submit something like this so my fiance contacted the 'Us Travel Docs' folks again. This time he was told NOT to complete the DS260 and only to complete the forms requested in the instructions.

travel.state.gov states that ds-260 is to be used for all immigrant visas...I-129-f is considered a non-immigrant visa.

While an I-129F is technically a petition for a non-immigrant visa, The K visa is a visa with immigrant intent. That means that alot of the forms required for an immigrant visa are also required for a K visa. ds-260 is one of the forms required for a K visa (I-129F) in Bangkok. See below:
