NBI Clearance

Last Wednesday I applied for NBI clearance in Nueva Ecija with my sis. I never applied in local branch before so its a new experience to me. Most of my clearances was appied in Manila branch because it is much easier and they are really following the anti red tape law which is imposed to all govt institutions here in Philippines. So heres my traumatic experience: after i filled up the form I submitted it for further checking same with my sis. But,then the NBI employee called me and told me my name is for verification because there is someone I have the same name and has a case record on their system. I asked him how long it will take and he said one month or more. I am aware that verifications can be done online because they are now using biometric online system so no need to go the main branch. But this employee insisted it has to done in the main branch, and said he will do it for me but I have to give him money for his transportation and food. I asked my husband what to do and therefore he agreed to give the man what he wanted for he might do something to delay my clearance. I asked him how much, he said just enough for bus fare and food. I gave him a thousand pesos my contact number and left the office. After 30 mins the ####### called telling me my clearance has been verified and was ready for release. I told him I'll just get it the following day for I am on my way home. Thursday came. To my surprise, the NBI employee was sitting outside their office holding my clearance and with crutches. Karma is way too fast for him. He had a motor accident Wednesday afternoon after my clearance my released.
