I am a US cit. living/working in China. My fiance, soon to be wife and I are planning to visit the US in Jan/Feb of next year to see my family. We are not interested in immigrating at this time and will be coming back for both of our jobs after the vacation. From what I can gather a straight tourist visa for her is the way to go, but I just wanted to see if there was anything else we should be aware of. She has a good job, owns her own apartment and has money in the bank. Will being married to a citizen be beneficial or detrimental to a tourist visa app? We would be traveling together so she wouldn't lie if asked who she is going with/to see in the US. Are there other visa types that might be better for this situation?

If there are other similar threads, a link would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Much

Tourist visa is the right one.

Being married to a USC will be detrimental, as they will think she may stay in the US once there, with you. So bring proof to the interview that BOTH of you need to go back to China for your work and have ties there.
