I am finishing everything for sending in the I-129F and supporting forms. Here are my few quick questions that I was unable to clarify by searching and etc:

The sheets are all dated the 17th of September, but I will first be sending it in the beginning of October due to waiting for the passport type photos from my fiance. Is that ok, or should I change the dates on the forms?

On the I-129F, it asks for the phone number of my fiance in the format of (xxx)xxx-xxxx when she has a format of +xxx xx xxx xxxx. I put the last 9 in the boxes and the country code I wrote in myself before. Will that still work?

On the G-325A for my fiance, she had periods of work and unemployment over the last 5 years due to traveling here for the last 2 summers for work and she is also a student at home in Bulgaria. The questions are nit picking, but I want to make sure. She last worked in the USA until 9-15-2013. By the time I send it in, it will be October. Should I put her current status as unemployed? Between her work here this summer and at home in spring, it goes from 4/2013 to 5/2013, is that considered a gap? Last thing, I continue on another sheet with her employment. Should I list what I can on the actual form and continue on the attached sheet or should I list it all on the attached sheet to keep it all together?

Last question I have is on documents of proof. We've only known each other for a short time so far. Just short of 3 months to be specific. At this point, I only have 3 pictures of us together (I will add a 4th since we will be spending one more day together before she heads back home), a copy of her J1 VISA (it shows she worked right outside my city), and her boarding pass for her flight to the USA. Is that enough for meeting purposes? I have a trip planned for January when I will visit her and we also communicate a lot through Facebook and Viber (program similar to Skype) which both can be saved and printed. I can use more evidence from them later to show a continued relationship.

Oh, one more thing. The guide says to have the pictures on glossy paper like a normal picture, but I thought I read in a thread somewhere that someone's pictures were returned and another mentioned they printed the pictures in black and white on regular paper. Should I stick with the guide or should I maybe include both?

Thank you in advance for your help. I have a feeling it will be a long winter as I wait to visit my fiance and to get through this VISA so she can come back here smile.png

Having your papers dated for September won't be a huge deal. I think they understand it takes time to get everything together and they don't expect you to have your packet completed within a week.

As for the phone number, I can't remember what I put for our petition.

As far as the evidence goes, since you will say that you have only known one another for a very short period of time, I would advise you to give as much evidence as possible to prove you are a bonafide couple. Even getting married to another American within three months seems a bit weird to people, so I can imagine tht would be a huge red flag to the adjudicating officer who handles your case. I sent my photos on whatever paper that the Walmart photo thing uses, and there was no problem there! Just remember that they will not accept discs or flash drives with photos on them. You might want to get a copy of the passport stamps, if possible, showing that she did go through customs.

Best of luck with everything!! I hope it works out!

<-- That is fine. Not an issue.

On the I-129F, it asks for the phone number of my fiance in the format of (xxx)xxx-xxxx when she has a format of +xxx xx xxx xxxx. I put the last 9 in the boxes and the country code I wrote in myself before. Will that still work? <-- They messed up on the new form edition by making all those data entry boxes US-based. Just hand-write the foreign phone number.

Should I list what I can on the actual form and continue on the attached sheet or should I list it all on the attached sheet to keep it all together?<-- If she is currently unemployed, then list that for when she became unemployed until the present. You can list some on the form and then leave room to hand-write in "SEE CONTINUATION ON ATTACHMENT" , or you can simply list the all on the attachment sheet and put "SEE ATTACHMENT".

<-- Add in a copy of her passport stamp along with the copy of her boarding pass and visa. Bring more evidence of relationship to the K-1 interview later.

Oh, one more thing. The guide says to have the pictures on glossy paper like a normal picture, but I thought I read in a thread somewhere that someone's pictures were returned and another mentioned they printed the pictures in black and white on regular paper. Should I stick with the guide or should I maybe include both? <-- It is easiest to just print the photos off on regular printer paper. The paper size fits in with the rest of the documents and there is less of a chance for them to get lost or be returned. No special size or type of paper is needed though.

Thank you in advance for your help. I have a feeling it will be a long winter as I wait to visit my fiance and to get through this VISA so she can come back here smile.png

What's up J57,

If your documents are already signed, then I wouldn't worry about the date. It shouldn't be an issue. Unless you can change the dates and sign the documents again without pro-longing everything We post dated the forms knowing everything wouldn't be mailed until the following week.

The phone number, As long as it's clear and can read the numbers it will be fine. We used all four boxes to fill in the complete phone number.

The work history on the G-325A, I would say if she was unemployed while in school. Put student for her occupation to fill that gap when she was going to school. If she wasn't working and wasn't going to school during that time frame, then I would put unemployed.

The proof of meeting, I'm not sure about only knowing her 3 month will be a factor. But you do have some proof of meeting with the pictures, visa, flight, chat and email records. Also Since your not sending your I-129f packet until October then try to add any email or chat records you may have from when she returned home.

The pictures, We stuck to the guide. Just bought the 4x6 photo paper and printed the pics we chose to use in our packet. I did read that some printed the color pic on just paper. But we just felt that the photo paper was best.

Hope this helps and good luck to ya! . We sent our I-129F packet on 9/11/13, delivered on 9/13/13, NOA1 on 9/18/13...
