We are on the same boat, I sent my in March 2013, and every time I log into view my case status, just stays on initial review! Its been over 6 months (heard that it was an average of a 6 months wait time). It is frustrating to see some people being approved in 3-4 months, while ours just got routed to the wrong center (in terms of length of time).

Are you sure your petition is still at NBC? Have you called USCIS and asked them where your petition is at? It may be at your local office. You need to call USCIS monday. The online status will show you nothing. The stats are too new. Petitions have only been going there a year now.

And all petitions will always say initial review. All it means is its waiting and waiting.

So call USCIS. Anyone else on this third who arrived at NBC before May needs to be calling to see where their petition is than you need to be making an INFOPASS appointment to talk to a supervisor if your petition is at the local office.

What have you done so far to invoke action? Have you involved your congressman or senator? If not why not? It's 9 months. Don't mean to be stern but complaining to us doesn't get things done. You need to be getting people involved that can do things. 9 months is wayyyyyyy to long.

Where is your petition at? NBC? Local office? If at Local office have you had an Infopass appointment? If not why not? There is much you can be doing. You need to be proactive about your petition dear.

Just like I said to jane21. You called but spoke to who the CSR answering the phone. Or did you request ta tier 2 supervisor?

Did you submit a service request?

I repeat to you.

What have you done so far to invoke action? Have you involved your congressman or senator? If not why not?

Where is your petition at? NBC? Local office? If at Local office have you had an Infopass appointment? If not why not? There is much you can be doing.

They will tell you where your petition is if you ask. But you have to talk to a tier 2 supervisor. Open a service request. Get proactive here.

Well thats easy to answer because this is the most immigrating to country there is. And frankly no one is trying to do harm or terrorize Europe. There are reasons for all these roadblocks and checks. If those before us had follow the rules, returned from visits back to Philippines, Nigeria and others we too would have VWP and come and go. If there wasn't wide spread scams and sham marriages we wouldn't have such scrutiny and high rates of denials. It is what it is the sins of those before us we must bear.

Also really the issues is lack of workers our government is frankly running on low funds and less people. USCIS and NVC are contractors doing the job. As a person who has been unemployed for the past 9 months I totally understand. The centers are doing their best their job. Its not personal they do not know you. All we can do is be patient and also utilize all the tools and people we have that can help us.

WOW I am sorry. Well you deserve a star for doing all you can and you are doing right thing to bug the heck out of them. Since you did Infopass you must be at local center than. Well I pray soon soon you will be crying in joy with an approval. Chin up (didn't mean to fuss at you sorry).

I have been calling tier-2 rep for past few weeks, and past two times they have told me to wait 9 months. Contacting Senator office was a waste of time for me too.

I will not let anyone walk through my mind with their dirty feet.

American is in serious debt. Look at Detroit a major city BANKRUPTED. They are getting ready to raise the debt ceiling. Printing money with so many out of work is never a good things.
