So in other words if your town stocked twice as many cigarettes in the stores, more people would start smoking?

Lib-logic

This is why you don't put these folks in charge of national defense (or healthcare).

No, they stock more product only if there is more demand for it. The only way there's more demand for cigarettes is if people consume - i.e. smoke - more. Same holds true for any product. Less so for guns than for cigarettes maybe as it seems that the true gun aficionado likes to stockpile them. Still, the more there are, the more will be used to kill. The numbers don't lie.

Are you done paying dumb now or are you gonna go for another round?

No, because knives are not the same as guns. I'll give you some time to figure out why.

LOL

Tell you what, why not just post a list of the countries of the world by murder rate, and put a star next to the ones without gun control.

You would be quite a way down the list before you saw the USA.

How do you suppose those folks in all the "high murder rate" countries are killing themselves?

Since they have gun control it can't be guns, are knives involved?

hmmmm?

Okay, I see you haven't figured it out yet. Try some more.

So you want to compare a country like say South Africa with USA? Not exactly a fair comparison, if you want an accurate comparison of murder rates with other countries around the world then you have to pick countries that are first world countries just like the USA. I'm sure the USA would be at or near the top of the list as far as first world countries are concerned. Why do some Americans whenever they have to justify bull**** like this always want to compare themselves to countries around the world that are 2nd or 3rd world? Hear it all the time here in the South "Well hey at least we're not like *insert some random 2nd/3rd country*"

Your "whites and rich folk should be held to a higher standard" is refreshing though thoughts like that can get you in trouble in some quarters.

Thats funny I have lived in the South for several decades and I have never heard anyone make that comparison.

What I have heard them say jokingly is -"If you people don't like it here in the South why do you keep coming and keep staying?"

And they have a point.

Everyone seems to love it here, truth is, I have only known one lady actually say she did not like it here in Charlotte and she was moving, she was from Dallas.

I have been here more than twenty years now, and I can honestly say I have never lived in a place where I never hear people complain about "getting out", which seemed pretty common every place else I have lived.
