Sort of like with same sex marriages and abortions, yes? Don't like it, don't have it but don't interfere with others ability to have it. Seems we're finally getting somewhere.

No, no, no. Those things are different. Somehow.

Can we stop with the whole fake "no one is trying to take them away" nonsense. There are plenty of examples where such attempts are occurring in the US.

Who is legitimately attempting to make it illegal to own guns?

It's a good thing nobody's trying to stop everyone from owning one then.

Just a matter of time Penny. They start with a couple of small laws, slowly taking your freedoms away, to condition you for the inevitable. Then before you know it, you've got your undies pulled down around yer ankles and your guns are gone.

Isn't it fun?!

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

Thus far NY and CA. Some of the CA laws are quite sneaky about it too in that they create generational confiscation - i.e. if you classify certain firearms as untransferable then when the owner passes the CADOJ will collect. Its similar to how the UK began confiscation.

Now you might think, oh its just the AW classes but its much broader because of how they use the handgun roster. Basically, all handguns fall off roster within a few years. A recently passed law makes them untransferable. So what you are seeing is the majority of handguns in CA will either need to be exported out of state or they will be confiscated over the coming decades.

Don't forget the end game where you are on your knees waiting for the shot to the back of your head. Because that, after all, is what gun control is really all about. They want to snuff you out!

I didn't say others shouldn't be able to own one. I'm just pointing out that those who are carrying guns can very easily intimidate those who aren't, even without brandishing their gun.

You must live in fear..Do you get scared every time you see a cop

None of what you posted prevents a law abiding citizen from owning a gun that wants one. So no one is actually attempting to make it illegal to own guns.

Not so much scared, but I do feel intimidated, yes. If a cop is driving behind me, for example, I'd much rather have the cop not be there. I guess I don't necessarily trust police to be good people by default -- I tend to think they like to control people and be on power trips. On the other hand, there are of course really good people who become cops, and I know and have dealt with them, so it's more of an 'until I get to know the actual cop' generalization, if that makes any sense.

It's likely my own person problem, and I felt the same intimidation even without being there when my wife and kids had visa interviews, and later when they entered the country. Something about having such immense power makes me worry a bit.

They're different because he wants a gun and can identify with those who want a gun, but can't identify with those who want to marry same sex partners or have abortions.

What would Xenu do?

Sure they are. No handguns are microstamped but the CADOJ is now requiring it. So no handgun purchases in CA next year (i'm sure there will be an injunction however.)
