Just got a notification email. they approved I130..

ah ok! that probably explains the name updation.

I have come across cases where a few folks I-130 got approved after the interview (in about 2-3 days time after interview)

and some cases, where I-130 just moved to Initial Review and stayed there..... i'm talking about folks whose PD is after Sept 8th.

There doesnt seem to be a set pattern...

I think our file will be sent back to NBC.... and they will re-open when the PD becomes current... and probably both will be approved at the same time.

No. If you want to file concurrently (like they did), you have to wait until F2A becomes "current" again in the Visa Bulletin (but it's not gonna happen anytime soon). For now, you can only file i-1

The attorney is an idiot. If he had filed in May, the case would already be current and she would probably receive a visa by Summer 2014. Lots of time wasted. Tell your family member to file the

Congratulations and thanks for the update.

How about your 485... did it move from "testing and interview" back to Initial Review? That is what I have heard from folks whose I-130 got approved.

09/09/2013 - Concurrent filing of I-130/I-485/I-765/I-131 sent via USPS.

09/11/2013 - Delivered to USCIS Chicago Lockbox

09/16/2013 - Acceptance Confirmation text messages (4) and emails (4).

09/17/2013 - Check cashed.

09/23/2013 - Four I-797C notice of action in mail.

09/23/2013 - I-130, I-765 and I-131 online status showing Initial Review. I-485 showing Acceptance.

09/26/2013 - I-797C for Biometrics notice. Appointment scheduled on 10/10

10/01/2013 - I-485 case status updated to RFE and the RFE notice mailed out.

10/08/2013 - RFE response mailed out.

10/10/2013 - I-485 case status changed to "RFE response review"

10/10/2013 - biometrics completed on scheduled date.

10/29/2013 - EAD card production ordered

11/07/2013 - Received combo card.

11/15/2013 - I-485 case status change to "Testing & Interview"

01/02/2014 - Received notice that interview is scheduled for Feb 3.

Thanks for the wishes. our interview is gonna be in Holtsville, NY.

As for the priority date, I have come across two posts where the IO in the interview said the dates might move (forward) in March... (and he was gonna hold on to their file to see if that happens and then approve the case).

But from another forum, the prediction is the dates are gonna retrogress even further back in the coming months :(

I-485 went back to Initial review and I got an approval for I-130.

Congratulation.

That means now you need to wait till PD become current.

we had our interivew today at Holtsville, NY. It was a short one and went well from the way we felt it went.

IO was a very polite and professional lady officer.
After swearing in she asked for our passports, and noticed that my wife entered on H-1.
She asked for my Green Card and noticed I got my green card via employment.
So she asked for both our employment verification letters... and asked for joint bank accounts... I showed them and also other supporting documentation like joint Health insurance cards and Auto insurance cards... and documentation where I added my wife as beneficiary on my 401(k) account.
Looking at all the other documentation I had in file, we felt she was impressed by this point... and asked for pictures...
she took one picture... and made sure there was I-693 (medical) already in file.
she also asked us how we met. Then she mentioned we should be getting our GC soon, and the only thing that she was waiting was for name to clear security check, criminal etc...

I mentioned that my priority date was not current... then she said, we just missed it by few days and hopefully it will move next month, and we should get our GC when dates become current and there will no more interview.

Can I ask a question? I filed my i130 on September 11th 2013. Transferred to NBC - transferred to Nebraska - now transferred to local Boston office. I sent all of my original support documents in the original file. Now I am adding the 485 to my file - but they already have the Affidavits of Support and an inch file that goes with it. Will I have to do it again???

Hey,

Why do you add your I 485 now? You had to do this when you fill out I 130? I do not think you can Adjust your status now /I 485/ I mean the VB must be "current", but it is not!

Is there anyone get the green card yet? I start sending my I-485 on this June.

I did wait almost 2 years for my visa available to be able to send I-485.

Biometrics Appointment on July 1st, 2015

EAD is approved on August 10th 2015 (73 days)

Got interview notice on March 30th 2016

USCIS received on April 11th 2016

Interview Scheduled on May 3rd 2016

Approved on the spot - Handed print out approval notice.

hello peeps,

i concurrently filled i130 and i485 back in sep 2013 - i130 was approved and i485 was pre-adjusted and then transferred to the national benefits center family based.

what happens next? my PD will be current as of June 01 2015. Are they going to send me a letter requesting new medical exam or?
