Hi there,

My fiance' (US citizen/petitioner) and I are startting to collect all the requirements needed for K-1 fiancee visa application.

And we found out that there is a need for me to get a GOOD CONDUCT CERTIFICATE from Bahrain where I worked as an OFW(Overseas Filipino Worker) for 5 years.

The thing is that, we don't have a letter from the US embassy yet..a letter requesting for a GOOD CONDUCT CERTIFICATE since we are on the preparation of all the requirements.

I'm pretty sure that there's a few if not alot who have worked on this requirement before who can help me and give me detailed procedures of acquiring a GOOD CONDUCT

CERTIFICATE from Bahrain. Your genuine help will be very appreciated.

God Bless Us ALL.

You need a police report from any country you spent more than 6 months since the age of 16, Dont wait for the embassy to send you a letter.

@ FELI114

thank you for your feedback. Yes, I need to get a GOOD CONDUCT CERTIFICATE but I would need a detailed information of acquiring it, and would need answers for the following questions:

1.) Do I have to get an NBI clearance from the main office in Manila since it says on Bahrain website that it should have a "sundry fingerprints" as one of the requirements for

getting a GOOD CINDUCT CERTIFICATE?? Im living far from Manila.

2.) How long it'll take for Bahrain office to process the GOOD CONDUCT CERTIFICATE??

3.) Can I send my application for Good conduct certificate and other requirements thru a friend of my fiance' and be the one to process it for me instead of mailing it thru Bahrain

Consulate in Manila?

Hope to have answers to my questions. God Bless.

Wit regard to your question, it might depend on the country, we asked our attorney and they inquired with the embassy and we were instructed we do not need the police certificate. My fiancée worked in Kuwait.

In Kuwait the crux of the issue us you NEED letter from the embassy [or other] stating you NEED police report.

This means the US Embassy (in Kuwait) would request that document and you would take the letter of request

to the Kuwaiti authorities to get the police report. Reviewing the Kuwaiti policy a letter of request is required with

other documents to get the certificate

However she has just left Kuwait and our attorney checked with the embassy (Manila) and they state that because she is NO LONGER in Kuwait a police report is not required.

You should verify what the requirements are with Bahrain. This is a messy topic and there is a lot of discrepancy among responses. If the Bahraini authorities require a letter of request it may be similar to the Kuwaiti policy.

But what worries me even with the direction from the embassy a consular officer may request it.

Hi!

There's an honorary Consulate of Bahrain here in the Philippines... You can contact them to request a Bahrain GCC. They are located in Makati. You can google their website to get their address and requirements for BahrainGCC. It will take 3-4 months to process (they said the last time I asked).

Getting a sun-dry fingerprint at NBI, you will need a request from the Honorary Consulate of BH not from the US Embassy. There's no payment for this, just go to NBI in taft since that's the only office u can get the sundry... It's on the 3rd floor, just ask NBI people (beware of fixers).

Yes, you can ask a friend to get Bahrain GCC if you have one who still resides in BH. Just give the requirements, same as the Honorary Consulate is asking. Make sure you provided a authorization as well with ur friend.

This will stressed you but it's obtainable! Good luck!

Hi there, I assume you got your GCC from Bahrain, does it have any validity and for how long? Is it also written on how long you stayed in Bahrain and did they wrote the time frame?
