Has anyone had any recent experience doing a DCF through the US Embassy in Caracas? My closest Consular office is in Curacao, but they don't handle immigration filings. They sent me to the Embassy in Caracas to do the paperwork. The website for the Caracas embassy doesn't discuss DCF at all. I've sent an email to them and am waiting for a response, but wanted to see if anyone here has done a DCF via Caracas?

Neither of us have any ties to Venezuela (I am a US Citizen, fiancée is a British national), we just happen to live on an island where all expat tasks are handled via Caracas. And, yes, I know the DCF is only for spouses of US Citizens...we are debating whether to get married now on the island (we've lived here legally many years), then file the DCF...or wait and do the fiancée approach and get married in the US. We'd rather not be apart if we can help it.

I don't see that embassy on the list that allow DCF: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=1ac900c262197210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=1ac900c262197210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD

DCF is only available in that small handful of countries. If yours is not listed, you'll file via the Chicago lockbox for the I-130.
