Does anyone know where / how to get a police report as quick as possible? The office in Krasnoyarsk is saying it takes 30 days.

Bribery helps. Should be able to shorten it to less than a week or so. We needed one for Sergey who attended college in Russia. He paid a bribe and got it in less than 10 days. That was in Moscow.

Police certificates are best obtained about the time you file the petition. Along with all your vaccinations to qualify for AOS after the beneficiary arrives. There is never a better, cheaper or faster way to do it than in their own home country.

Regardless of the "expiration" date on a police certificate certificate (if any) the consulate will accept them for one year from issuance.

I'll pay whatever, but I need it in about 14 days.

The rest of our paperwork is Done and or interview can be anytime.

It took 20 days for us after we were told it would be 30. The real problem will come if the person being checked has lived in more than one city. Plan to add about 30 days per city from what I understand. (This may be old info though).

No, since they submit request in all cities simultaneously, so it will take whatever takes the longest amount of time (so not 30 days per city one after the other, but 30 days total, whichever city is slowest that's when you get it). Paying a bribe might not help if you lived in more than one city though, as you would need to pay in each one, which may not be practical. Paying to get it done quicker if you only lived in one city is a good way to get it faster though.

In Ukraine, if you pay you get it in less than a week, normally takes about a month too.

I was also worried about my police-report from Russia. I am German and have lived in Moscow a few years and needed the police-report for my K1-visa.

Because I now live in Malaysia it is expensive to fly to Moscow to get it done myself.

I found then here in this forum this contact in Moscow, an address where someone else already got help

http://www.rs-center.ru/en/police-clearance/

and I must say, they did a great job in helping me. and fast! I have to organize a few police-reports from different countries I lived before and

they are by far the best in organizing and fees are also ok. They even show on their website how you can organize it yourself.

Send me a PM if that link above doesn't show.

Hope that helps,

xx Chris
