Off the wall question.....

If USCIS withdrawn the processing fee from my account, should they be sending out my first e notification and then the NOA1? Or the processing fee is different from them actually accepting my I130 petition meaning regardless if they accept it or not its still 420 out of my pocket.

in Japan using a military FPO AP address

Sent out on 10 September

USCIS received my petition on 16 September

USCIS withdrawn 420 from account on 20 September

e notification not yet received nor NOA1

If you didn't send in also the G1145 to get text and email to be notified you will have to wait for the hardcopy NOA2 (I-7997-C) Notice of Action. It takes up to 30 days.

But USCIS cashing your check means they received it and no it has nothing to do with if its accepted or not. People have been denied right up front and check cashed. for mistakes they made.

NOA-2 is approval notice - you've some time to wait for that.

NOA-1 in hand, can register yer casefile via the receipt #, online, then see other status thingies (maybe).

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
