Dear Vjers,

Can someone please explain how long should I take before entering the US on a k1 visa if the noa2 was approved in September. I read a post here that it is 4 months from the 2noa and I think I also read somewhere on this forum that its 6 months after medicals.

Which is which? With all the time nvc is taking go allocate case #, I don't think we might be able to get everything done after only four months.

Pls advice.

the NOA2 approval expires in 4 months.. (sept-jan in ur case); which means you have to complete the medical, interview and get approved, and cfo (only if from the Philippines); -- don't worry about this coz you can file for an extension in case you haven't completed everything before the exp date...

after being approved and got your visa, you have up to 6 months to enter U.S. before your fiancé visa expires..

Thx Jandp,

Does it mean I can go ahead and schedule a medical even without getting packet 3? How would I know what I need to do for the medicals without the instructions? I've read in other forums that a medical doctor would usually help you know what shits to take and things like that, sometimes you need none. So, do I just schedule one without the documentation from the USEM? Thx.
