Vaccination Record

hi guys,

I'm having a problem regarding my vaccination record.

They are requesting my vaccinations record which i don't have now. I'm supposed to submit the vaccination record from my previous medical examination for k1, actually they didn't provide anything regarding that.... and they are asking for it to complete my change status application...

Is there a way to go arround that?? can i just go to any hospital here and do the vaccinations test??

Please help me, i don't know what to do now :(

Before my husband arrived, I told him to get a copy of the forms from the doctor, but the one he saw wasn't very cooperative--so now we have the same problem. I called a Civil Surgon here in NC and they told me it's a simple procedure of taking some blood and running some tests to check for the Vaccinations that were to be given at the medical....the only one that they can't test for is Tetnus--so that one will have to be given again.

It really isn't that big a problem. Just have to pay them more than we wanted to----we were hoping to just pay them to fill out the Vaccination Supplement form. BUT that's how it goes some times

can u call them to send u a copy of ur record?ask the concerned center where u had ur previous record.

The same thing happened with my fiance. In Peru, we called the clinic where he was born, but they had moved, and apparently were irresponsible with previous records so they don't have them. His sister just came here with a K-1 and had the same problem. In her medical exam in Peru, they just gave her the immediate necessary vaccinations/tests there...not all vaccines but i guess the most urgent or something...so she was cool...no problems. i can't speak for other problems...but the medical clinics have to realize that not all places keep great records from 20+ years ago.

well, yes, my brother is there in Dubai, he is contacting them since a long time, but they seem to be very errogant and irresponsible too.. my bro has been fighting with them for weeks to get it... but it seems they can't provide such a record for me...

is there a spicific place to do the blood test here ? can i go to any hospital to do the test ???

The civil surgon I spoke with did tell me that we could go to the local health department for the blood tests, or it can be done in thier office--seeing as you have to pay them to fill out the Vaccination Supplement form anyway.

Try contacting a Civil Surgon in your area and see what they tell you---it's costing us about $150 for the tests and filling out the form and the tetnus shot.

My (apparently very controversial) solution was to enclose a note in my packet saying that all vaccinations were given before the K-1 interview, and that the full medical record should be enclosed in my file. So far so good -- no RFE for the vaccination supplement.

This was the advice given to me by a USCIS employee on the information line. He said the vaccination supplement is really meant for people who didn't have access to all the vaccinations in their home countries.

All that said, according to others on these forums, others have received RFEs for not enclosing their vaccination supplement form. Your mileage, as always, may vary.
