Here's positive inspiration: many people aren't fortunate enough to celebrate their 40th.

As someone who seriously almost died at 24 (so not an exaggeration at all), I can tell you that my vanity won't get in the way of me celebrating every subsequent birthday with nothing but immense joy & gratitude.

Happy Birthday!

Y'know....you're right Lisa!!.....I am 40 in a several days also and was feeling less than positive about it...but now I am going to celebrate the fact that I have reached 40 with no serious illnesses or damage....

so here's to the next 40 of same....

P.S Happy Birthday when it comes Shona...

Glad I could put some perspective on it! People for the most part are so vain (myself included) & hung up on age, it's easy to lose sight of the bigger picture.

Thanks to you all for your positive thoughts. I just thought I'd be here and happily married instead of being in removal proceedings and awaiting a decision which could change my life. I'll also be homeless in a few weeks.......

..... but I haven't had any serious illness and I am still alive. Thanks for all your birthday wishes!!!

Shona I'm sorry to hear you're going through so much, things will get better.
