I had my interview

To make a long story short:
I arrived at the location approximately 40 minutes before my scheduled appointment time. I parked and stayed in my car for about 15 or 20 minutes so that I could go over the civics test flash cards. I then went inside the building. I sat in the waiting area for several minutes. It wasn't long before my name was called. The interview was brief. I didn't look at the clock before or after the interview, but I estimate that the interview took less than 10 minutes. The officer first went over the N-400 and then conducted the civics test.

My 6 questions were:
Who wrote the declaration of independence?
What is the political party of the president now?
Name a state that borders Mexico.
Who is the commander in chief of the military?
Name 3 of the original 13 colonies.
What are the two major political parties in the US?

That was followed by the English writing/reading test. The officer then gave me my results sheet which showed that I had passed the tests and that I had been recommended for final approval. I then went back to the waiting area and waited about half an hour. I was then given the oath appointment letter. The oath ceremony takes place next week. So, although there's still one more step left in this whole process, I'm glad that the hard part is over. smile.png
