yes the sheet from loomis that shows you signed up. You should have it, it's from the same website as you made your appointment on. also don't forget your interview letter.

Don't forget your loomis paper. They won't let you in without it. I'd use a ziploc bag, binder or accordion file folder vs a grocery bag. You cannot bring in your wallet upstairs but they may be able to keep it at security for you.

As for the copies of the originals, they'll have copies as they print off the EP pdf you gave them. They only asked to see my originals. I brought my entire AOS package and all they wanted was the I-864EZ as they had the photocopies of everything else from printing it off.

(I saw the copies in my file, that's how I know they had them.)

thank you, Niki. I registered loomis and ready in the folder. Quite nervous but always feel better whenever I read VJ forum. Will update next week. Hope everything will be fine.

just wondering. Whats the point of brinigng everything to the interview when they should have it in the original filing that was made? I mean the proof of relationship, birth certificate etc, isnt that all sent when the original application is sent?

and to follow up on that, do the require the benefitiaries or the person who filed, birth certificate?

I have a while to go but I am just trying to gain knowledge, thanks!

USCIS

January 8th 2014 - NOA1

You bring it in case it's not there. There is not guarantee that everything sent to the USCIS makes it to the NVC. The NVC is generally pretty good about sending everything to the consulate that they have but, you never know and it's good to make sure you have your copies just in case something isn't sent on. I remember reading a review when that happened fairly recently. You also bring relationship evidence that they might not have seen yet.

Because Montreal is an electronic processing optional country, if you're doing the IR1/CR1 route, then you can email the NVC a scan of the beneficiary's birth certificate, marriage certificate and other documents. The beneficiary must then bring the originals to the interview for their verification. I believe with K1 the beneficiary brings them because those documents are not send the consulate via mail but hand carried.

The birth certificate that is needed is the beneficiaries not the petitioner's. Only a photocopy of the petitioner's is ever needed with the I-129F or I-130 petition and then only if it's a US birth certificate.
