Hate + Hate= more hate. Why can't anyone see that?

Because it is not about "hate" or protecting anyone, it is about power and control.

I am not going to debate the issue with anyone, there is no need to. Settled law. There will be no new federal firearms laws from this incident or any other. I will tell you why. You do not need to like the reasons or even agree with me, you are free to be WRONG, but I will explain why there will be NO NEW GUN LAWS. I am not going to debate idiots who know nothing about the issue, guns or the politics involved because there is no need to. You will lose and that is fine with me.

Here is why the subject of gun control will not be discussed in congress or by Obama after Monday's shooting at the Navy Yard (it has already faded out of the news)

1. The shooter is BLACK. If no action came after the mass shootings perpetrated by WHITE shooters and suddenly now Congress passes legislation after a BLACK shooter kills many people, it will be seen as racist. Especially universal background checks which will impact blacks more than whites. The accusation will be "You let WHITE people get away with it, but let a BLACK shooter kill WHITE people and you pass laws that impact blacks more than whites" Don't think so? What happened in NYC with "stop and frisk"?

2. Obama is Embarassed. This is not a school or a theatre. This is the Navy Yard in Washington DC. The security of this facility and the issuance of security clearances are done by people reporting directly to Obama. This is a total failure of security protocol, background checks and ignoring police reports in the days leading up to this. People reporting directly to Obama failed to do their jobs. This is an assault on a military installation which was ALLOWED by lax security. It is, essentially, a "Benghazi" in the USA. There can be no serious discussion of gun control laws following this. We already see that the shooter was investigated by the same outfit that investigated Snowden. How much do you think Obama wants to make public about this?

3. Too close to Primary season. Political wrangling will psuh any votes out past the New Year, right into the primary season. Obama does not need to get re-elected, but. ALL of the House and 1/3 of the Senate do. Obama knows he could lose the Senate and the Repubs could keep the House. He wants BOTH back in the Dem camp. He cannot do that by pushing gun control now. The recent recalls in Colorado remind him of that. He has already given waivers to Obamacare to large contributors (Walmart) until after the elections next year. He is not going to force Dems to vote on gun control now. The earliest opportunity for congress to consider gun control again would be early 2015...depending on how the elections go. If the Dems take a spanking like they did in 2010, you can move that out to 2017. These guys do not give a rat's popah about your children, they want to protect their cushy jobs and keep their power. I doubt if there will even be a committee hearing The LAST thing they will ever do is vote on gun control in an election year like they did in 1994

4. Obama mailed off his eggs. Obama's eggs (common Russian slang for "testicles") arrived at the Kremlin two days before the shooting. Putin is publically displaying them and saying they are like "Golub eggs" (pigeon eggs) Obama cannot even muster "if I had a son he would look like the shooter" Obama abdicated a lot of his power to Putin. In a side note, this week the Ukrainian President told Putin to "####### off" and signed trade agreements with the EU bringing the former Soviet Republic closer to the west. Putin threatened "retaliation" and the Ukraine Pres gave Putin the finger. Too bad we cannot elect a similar President as a former Soviet Republic.

5. The NRA is stronger than ever, thanks to the earlier attempts this year to take away our rights, the NRA grew in membership and more Americans own guns than ever, more Americans have a "dog in the fight" and NRA membership and funding has grown incredibly. The "war chest" for lobbying and campaigning is FULL and new court rulings allow them more latitude than in previous election cycles.

6. Bigger fish to fry. Congress and Obama are up to their eyeballs in problems already.

And there you have it. Anyone wishing to be wrong is free to disagree. In 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, there will be no new federal firearms legislation. I am not going to debate it, argue or deny what anyone has to say.
