hi everyone

i had my interview at US embassy it was pretty good my wife accompanied me, after several questions he said he is issuing me the visa thereafter he started to write a note in the PC, when he finished he came back to me asked me. if i have a given name used before, i had a previous K-1 Petition in which my lawyer has filled out my father's last name as the matter of fact i don't have a last name i only got a single name on the passport so he said he needs to do some name checks now, what is not understandable at first he said he is issuing me the visa today then he said he needs to do name checks.

Something new came up, ie you were not completely honest about your names, and it was found out. So now they need to do name checks all over again.

Did you tell them that you had a previous K-1 before?

yes we told the co about our past petition, but he has all info in his system my past petition was never denied and sent back to uscis and got reaffirmed in a week, but we were already married when reaffirmation show up. we informed the embassy we got married. then we proceeded for CR-1. this name mistake was done by my previous lawyer he gave my father's last name as mine, since i have only one name we told this to CO he said twice clearly he is pretty much content with our relationship when he said i'm issuing you visa today. that was the happiest moment for a moment only. another thing they didn't take my picture neither for finger prints nor at the time of interview i wonder why. anyways i was already prepared knew at the end of interview i have to go under ap.i know its hard to tell but any idea how long this could take i believe this will be done through Nadra.
