Hey,

I have a question, if anyone can help me in right way, i am from Pakistan and sent my DS-230 paper version along with all original civil documents, m i suppose to fill DS 260 online or not, moreover i just sent original documents to NVC, would that b a problem ?

You are good to go. Nothing more is needed. DS260 is the online version of DS230 and only certain countries are allowed to fill it not Pakistan.

I've filed via paper/mail method but on my DS230, i typed it first on the .pdf file then printed it so minimal writing errors. No online submission yet to my place of origin.

You need to complete the DS-260 ASAP, don't wait for a checklist from the NVC that will require you to do so.

That is now incorrect, online forms are now required of all countries. This started at the beginning of September.

Thanks alot guys, but i am still confused, i am getting an option to fill out DS 260 online, but my payment receipt says that only particular embassies allow online form, Ryan are you sure that i can submit online version after sending the paper version to NVC ?

I also need to no that i only sent original documents, now i came to know that photocopies were needed as well, what should i do now ??

Department of State transitions to online immigrant visa application

Starting September 1, 2013, all immigrant visa applicants will apply online using Form DS-260 (Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration). Applicants will also choose their agent online using Form DS-261 (Choice of Address and Agent). Applicants will access both forms on the web at ceac.state.gov.

These forms replace the paper DS-230 and DS-3032. The National Visa Center (NVC) may instruct some applicants who previously submitted Form DS-230 to submit Form DS-260. Only Diversity Visa and Cuban Family Reunification Parole applicants will continue to use the paper forms. If you have questions or feedback about Forms DS-260 and DS-261, contact the NVC at nvcinquiry@state.gov or 603-334-0700.

I just sent original one, do i need to submit photocopies as well ??

Call the NVC and tell them that you did not include photocopies of your civil documents and ask them what your next step should be in this regard.
