Just to give you guys a background. I came in with my b1/b2 visa last year, got married, filed for aos in Feb, got original aos interview date in June BUT we moved to another state in May, filed for change of address and our interview got CANCELLED.

Our case was in Oklahoma City and we moved to Texas right after tornado attack so we weren't sure if our case was still there but got cancelled because of that reason or because we moved. After waiting for 3 months we decided to go in and speak to an officer about 2 weeks ago. The lady was really nice and patient with us. We found out that our case was already transfered to TX, but she couldn't do more than that. We came home and asked ourselves how long we had to wait. Today I checked my mail box and found this letter from USCIS says

"Please come to the office shown below at the time and place indicated in connection with an official matter.

Office Location : XXXXX

Date and Time : XXXX

Officer: XXXX

Reason for Appointment : Application for Adjust ment of Status

THIS INTERVIEW WILL BE VIDEO TAPED

Please bring originals and copies of items checked below

- all passport, I-94 , etc. (All personal documents)

-I-693 (if not previously submitted - which I did! Hopefully they didn't put it in here because they had lost it...that's a heck load of work getting blood drawn out and taking too many shots for one human's lifetime sleepy.gif )

- copies of doctuments to prove a valid relationship

- if family based application, Petitioner must be present at the interview

.....................

Well, I was glad when I first read it but wait a minute! I have seen an interview letter before and it doesn't look like this. I compared it with the first interview letter and it says 'We may record or viedeotape your interview' in normal letters not in CAPITAL BOLD LETTERS like this.

Has anybody got this before? Is this what the 'reschedule letter' look like? Should I be worried at all? I mean the original interview letter sounds nicer and friendlier than this. Did I piss anybody off when I went in and asked for an update about my case? Or am I the one who's being freaked out and overreacting? (Please tell me that I am cuz I'd rather be freaked out and find that I'm wrong than anything happening to my case or getting denied)

Thoughts, please????? I have to admit that I'm desperate and your advice will help me alot.

Thank you.

Each office can change their letter slightly for their own regs, so this is just probably what this office's looks like.

Yes, that's an interview letter issued by the local office and not the NBC. I had two interviews; the first interview letter came from the NBC in their standard format, and the second came directly from the Dallas office and was similar to the one you have received. It's nothing to worry about. It also stated it would be videotaped, although it wasn't. The IO didn't even swear me in.
