You can find plenty of threads with your concern if you just browse through VJ. Nobody here can answer how long the approval will take. Its case to case basis and depends on USCIS alone. Some got approved in 2 weeks, some waited for months. Please take time to search VJ, you will easily find the answers you are looking for if you patiently look around.

Can you just email te letter to him, have him print it, sign it and send it to you? After the USCIS receives the intent to marry they will quickly work on your case. I've seen other VJ'ers say 1 week others 2. Just make sure you send it and everything will be fine. I didn't get any rfe bu I've read other threads here. Much luck

Hi! We got the same RFE. I am the beneficiary, so what i did i sent an updated letter to my fiance with original signature. He sent our response last Sept.3 and they received it last Sept.5. No update on our case since then. But hoping to hear from them next week or so.

Hi babygirl28, i would like to ask if you initially submitted a letter of intent to marry before sending an updated one? My fiance has just mailed the I 129 f packet last week but my letter is dated april 2, 2013. He visited me here last july and we agreed to change dates, unfortunately we were not able to do so because my fiance and i met a vehicular accident which temporarily affected my hand writing aside from getting fracture and sutures.so we decided to senD the unchanged packet.do you think we can also have rfe because of it?

Hi gee777! Sorry to hear about the accident. Yes i included a letter of intent to marry initially. It was dated july 18, but my fiance submitted our packet july 29. I also signed it in black ink. So when we got an RFE, we were surprised it was about it. Thinking it could have been about the date, I sent another copy to him, updated one and still signed it in black ink (Lol). Waited for 2weeks after submitting, and just today we got approved.

Regarding your question, i am not sure. Cause some would say it needs to be updated, or needs to be signed using blue instead of black ink or it could simple be that they misplaced or lost the document. That's why they send an RFE. Try not to worry too much about it. If you didn't get an RFE for that, then great! I hope i was able to help you with this info. Best of luck!
