We received the Immigrant Visa Processing Fee Payment(s) for this case. You must now download and complete the Immigrant Visa Application and submit it with the required original civil documents for the principal applicant and each derivative applicant that will accompany him/her to the United States. Please visit the following website for instructions on how to obtain and submit the Immigrant Visa Application:

most people here at VJ download the forms

and

follow the directions in the online payment portal

for sending things in to NVC.

if you truly wish to 'wait' - you'll be kicked into 'postal processing mode' with NVC - and NVC will send you blank forms, in about 3 or 4 months.

I suggest you not wait for blank forms to arrive via postal mail .

If you have issues with downloading forms or using Adobe acrobat, please hire a teenager, age 14 to 17, for up to 2 hours, to assist you.

re:ds260 - that's an online form, you must to use it - no way round it.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

the thing that troubles me wink.png

is that you claim the fees are already paid.

so - either you snuck in a DS-3032 earlier

or - you had an attorney attached to the case with a G-28

-----

although you are currently unemployed - what was your tax picture for 2012 ?

IMO - if you filed a 1040EZ, then I-864EZ is fine to use,

otherwise - get that big I-864 and fill it out wink.png

----

as to your co-sponser - it depends on complexity of tax return, as to which I-864 to use.

---

you not speak of a DS-3032 or a DS-261 - if there was an attorney attached to the I-130 via a G-28 form, neither a DS-3032 or DS-261 is needed - please confirm what's what there, aye?

I'm not sure if I understand you completely,

but Yes the fees are all paid and No i did not use any attorney. yes DS-3032(choice of agent) already sent via email.

we have filed taxes jointly all these years. i've been unemployed for 5 years due to some probs..

which I-864 forms do people fill for joint sponsorship normally(husband & wife are sponsors), is it one form each for sponsors?

if there is an I-864 prefilled sample form for joint sponsorship, it would be very useful.. plz comment.

sheri - for the affadavit of support:

1. I-864 on you, even if NO income or assets.

2. I-864A on your husband

I assume the two of you are married, you were the petitioner, and you two filed 'married filing jointly' for the tax returns.

re: instructions on the online payment portal - there are things you need to DOWNLOAD - instructions are in the two DOWNLOADED things (invoice and coversheet) per item - so that's 2 downloaded things for the I-864, and 2 downloaded things on the DS-260 ..

back to post #1, aye?

you referenced a link at http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3190.html

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3190.html

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3190.html - that's the DS-260 and all of the civil docs list that you'll need on the parent. That's THEIR VISA APPLICATION.

you referenced a link at http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3197.html

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3197.html

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3197.html - that's the I-864 and the instructions.

in both of these links, forms you need for downloading are listed.

You'll need adobe acrobat reader installed (or something similar) and for the DS-260- it's best to USE IE 7 or greater on a PC running Windows with the acrobat pdf extensions installed properly.

GO GET EM, and GOOD LUCK !
