What happens after NOA2?

Hello Everyone!

Good day to all,I need your help again.I was approved yesterday so now my fiance is awaiting our NOA2 hard copy in the mail.How do we go about continuing to check our case status online,to know if they send it to NVC,when it leave NVC and reaching the embassy?we wanna stay updated with our case.also i was told previously that the no-impediment is good for 6 months and the police record is good for 3 months.I assume we will probably get our interview date in November since as it takes 60-90 days to obtain one.how soon can i apply for the No-impediment and police certificate?another thing is the DS260 a replace of the DS230 or do i need to submit them both?any help would be very helpful and appreciate.

No now you complete DS-260. You have to wait until NVC assigns your case numbers. Not sure who told you documents are only good for 3 months, but when we got ours, they were good for one year.

Police Certificate is valid for one (1) year from date of issuance.

Non-Impediment to Marriage, can't find an exact expiration date but I'm sure it doesn't expire in less than 6 months. Complete your DS260 so you can get your appointment date and begin ordering your certificate, they can take up to 21 days for receipt.

Good rule of thumb: Order police certificate & non-impediment after you get your NOA2.

Yeah,i am awaiting my approved I129F to be transfer to NVC.will USCIS send out a notification when they transfer it?also will we get any form of documents or notice from NVC?it's very uncommon for a document to only last 3 months.i would say the minimum is 6 months and maximum 1 year.So thank you for the correction,At lease this is not something i need to worry about anymore.

I would assume that the no-impediment too would last at lease 1 year,but i guess when i go apply for it i will find out.I can't complete my DS260 just yet until i receive my case and invoice number from NVC.I don't think it got transferred yet either.But as soon as i get the particulars and filled out the form.I will come back with an update.two last questions.I wanted to know if my fiance will need to order tax transcript from the IRS for our I134 application?out of the DS260.DS156,DS156K & DS157,i was told that one has to be filled out and submit online or does all of them need to filled out and submit online?i just wanna know if i can go ahead and filled out the DS156,DS156K & DS157 while i wait for my case number.Thanks in advance.

The DS156 needs to be completed online because a barcode is generated on the form once you print it. However this form is not transmitted to the Embassy, hence the reason you must bring 2 copies of the form with you to the interview. The DS156 can be found on https://evisaforms.state.gov/ds156.asp or do a google search for it and you'll get the form that way as well. The other forms can be completed online but again you must print at least 2 copies to bring to the interview. None of these forms are submitted/transmitted any where, they just allow you to type the info versus handwriting it. If you make a mistake on the DS156 our any of the other forms just do it over again. The New DS260 is the only form that is actually completed and then Submitted Online.

With the non-impediment form I couldn't give you an exact answer so I kept it general. When you get the answer duo share.

Tax Transcripts: I provided my tax transcripts which meant I didn't have to dig up my W2s. They're easy to order and take about 2 weeks to get. I gave them 3 years of returns..

You will get a case update from USCIS notifying you when they've shipped your case to NVC.. wait a week or so, after they've shipped your case to NVC, then try calling NVC and try to see if you're case number is already available.. once you got that, things will go faster now.. Good Luck!
