If a man wants to have sex with multiple women at once, as long as those women are consenting adults, WHO CARES?

The animal and children thing ... even you have to know what a stupid and insulting argument this is. Animals and children cannot consent to perform sexual acts with humans/adults.

I don't think there is such a thing as good and bad, but there certainly is such a thing as harmful and not harmful.

I see the harm in sleeping with animals and children, so I would apply the word 'bad' to those actions.

I don't see the harm in consensual sex orgies, so I have no problem with the guy further down the street if that's what he wants to do -- just keep it quiet so you don't wake up your neighbors.

See here's the deal. I don't think I'm right about gay sex. I think I don't care about gay sex. I'm not going to do it. Its not about right or wrong. Its about me not giving two sh1ts what two consenting human adults do. Libertarians should appreciate this mentality.

The right to pursue happiness is something that I find very, very important in life. I was able to bring the person I love to the U.S. and marry her. When I found out that someone who is in love with someone of the same sex can also do that, I was extremely proud of the judges that made the decision, and of how far our society has come.

I really hope that Danno can understand that there is a different road to happiness for each person. As long as that person's road to happiness is a peaceful one, let him or her walk down their road and live their life, without trying to force them to walk on your road instead. Although I waste a lot of time spouting my sometimes ridiculous ideas and opinions here on VJ, in real life, I stay out of people's ways, and I don't give unsolicited advice-- and for that, I have many friends and few enemies. Letting people be free to be themselves is really great.

The guy was convicted of manslaughter and got 8 years in prison.

I'm not talking about what the law is (if someone wanted me to kill them and eat them, I'd look up the suicide hotline number.)

I try to take a neutral and completely fact-based stance on what I think the law should be, even when it goes against popular opinion or it's taboo. After all, it wasn't long ago that nobody in their right mind would have ever suggested two people of the same sex should be allowed to get married. If someone wants to commit suicide, and they go to a Dr. Kevorkian, I don't really think that it should be illegal. So, that would lead me to want to say, despite the shocking cannibalistic factors, the guy didn't really do anything wrong, if he had the victim's permission.

The question becomes, though, can someone who obviously has some kind of mental abnormality for wanting to die and be eaten, but is of adult age and has other rights, give his permission to be killed... and it's really a gray area. Many people accept if someone is in chronic pain from cancer or another physical disease that it's their right to choose to end their life. But if it's a mental disease or problem that causes them to do it, the fact that they may later regret it makes it really hard to say. I'm just curious what people thought about such a case.
