(CNN) - Pope Francis said the church has the right to express its opinions but not to "interfere spiritually" in the lives of gays and lesbians, expanding on explosive comments he made in July about not judging homosexuals.

Danno thinks this pope is one of the 'sappy christian variety' that have infiltrated the ranks of christianity since 1950 which was the last time men where men, women were found tied to the kitchen sink and children where rarely seen in adult company and definitely didn't have opinions.

I guess there's still the small detail about a man and woman being required in order to pro-create. People seem to ignore that. On a strictly biological level, homosexuality is bad for pro-creation. I think we need more gheys in the world. There's already too many damn people.

Last time around the Pope was asked about a celebrate gay priest, he responded "who am I to judge."

But you guys all heard "Who am I to judge gays."

Homosexual acts are evil, not having desires.

Nothing Satanic there. We all know that god makes no mistakes, ever, therefore the only conclusion any faithful can reach is that gods knows better. It seems the Pope himself already reached that conclusion, so who are we to question his authority?

The issue that I have with that is this:

My desire is to have heterosexual acts conductive to procreation with my wife who I am married to. As far as I know, I have the green light from pretty much every religion, except those which require celibacy to reach enlightenment.

The gay guy that lives down the street, on the other hand, has desires to have homosexual acts with another man who he would like nothing more than to marry, or, let's say, did marry. His desires are pretty much identical to mine, except he prefers a different form of genitalia.

Why would god bless me with desires he approves of, and screw the guy down the street over with desires he can't act on without god condemning him to hell, or even death, depending on the religion? Doesn't make god very fair, does it?

Forgive my lack of religious knowledge, but is it also against god's rules to sleep with a post-menopausal woman, because it wouldn't be conductive to procreation?

Who cares if they were born that way or not? I've always been attracted to women ten years older than myself -- I don't know whether or not I was born that way, but I'm lucky enough that my temptation matches the will of the almighty, I suppose.

Lots of people like to eat eggs -- I hate them. Lots of people don't like spicy food -- I love it. Was I born that way? I don't know. Nobody really cares what people like to eat; why should they care who they like to sleep with?
