My husband has never left the US and I was the one who traveled there to see him. It wasn't our plan but I got pregnant anyway and we got married a month later.

What other documents can I present during the CRBA interview aside from his birth certificate and driver's license? He was never in the military either.

You will need all of the following:

1. The child’s foreign birth certificate.
2. Proof of citizenship of the U.S. citizen parent(s). Your current passport is the preferred form of proof. Your U.S. birth certificate or naturalization certificate is also acceptable.
3. Proof of the relationship between the U.S. citizen parent(s) and the child. Your child’s birth certificate with both parents’ names on it is the best form of proof.
4. If you are married, we need to see proof. If you have prior marriages, we need to see proof of how those marriages ended.
5. A statement from either U.S. citizen parent and evidence that she/he lived in the U.S. long enough to transmit citizenship to her/his child. The statement you give is called an Affidavit of Parentage, Physical Presence, and Support.

Since you are the one travelling to US, you may gather evidences to prove your stay there... e.g. proof of entry to the US, etc.

But is his birth certificate enough proof of his citizenship? What other documents can we present that he stayed in the country enough to transfer citizenship?

He's been on probation for years now so he can't travel outside the country and has never left the country since birth. Will that be good enough proof that he's been in the country long enough?

I guess to be on the safe side I'll bring along a copy of his high school transcript, college admission letter and employment certificate. Do I have to bring certified copies though?

I would go with the copies. If they need certified ones, you can alsways get these.

If he was born in the US, that is his proof of citizenship.

Agree, acceptance of all evidence will be at the discretion of the consular officer, and depending on the circumstances, the consular officer may ask for additional material.

A stand alone us passport will not suffice.

I strongly recommend high school transcripts shows part of the needed timeline. They are very hard to dispute. I have seen USEM often ask for them.

Copies of high school transcripts are fine.
