On the following site: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?

How come it just says "Ready"? And case opened on Sept 19 (today?!?!).... when in fact her visa is already approved... isn't it supposed to show that it's shipped or the status of the exact visa ? Is there another site that I should be checking when it comes to this or what.......... just confused why it says only "ready" when it said that before she even went for medical & interview...... what the hell.

  • 04/24/2013 - I-129F Sent
  • 04/29/2013 - NOA1 Touched
  • 05/02/2013 - Left to visit my baby for the 3rd time!
  • 05/03/2013 - NOA1 Hardcopy received
  • 06/04/2013 - Flight back to the U.S.
  • 07/29/2013 - NOA2 (approval text) received (only 87 days since NOA1 Notice Date)
  • 08/02/2013 - NOA2 Hardcopy received
  • 08/14/2013 - Mailed all necessary post-NOA2 docs to sweetheart in preparation for her medical/interview!
  • 08/19/2013 - Manila Case # given by NVC (exactly 3 wks since NOA2)
  • 08/26/2013 - Manila Case # Hardcopy received, perfect timing for...
  • 08/26/2013 - Our 1-year ANNIVERSARY! dancin5hr.gif
  • 08/28/2013 - Post-NOA2 docs received (only 13 days!)
  • 09/02/2013 - Filed college credentials for CGFNS

your case is "ready" for interview, after your interview if you are approved, when they print your visa and stamp it it will say "Issued".

well but she already was approved yesterday so how come it doesn't say issued? and what are the next steps after that? the AP and whatever else.......... show me pls, thanks

The status will eventually change in a day or two. When I had my interview on Sept 4, my status then changes to 'issued', on Sept 4 afternoon, but one Vjer who also had her interview that same day, her status changed from 'ready' to 'issued' two days later.

thank you, but aside from "ready" and "issued" what other stuff will it say? so when exactly does it state "issued" ... when it's SENT out ?

Good question! My wife's visa has said "ISSUED" since Sept. 19th. However, 2GO courier service has not yet received it. I called the 2GO hotline and was told that just because the embassy's website says "issued" it does not mean that the visa packet has been released from the embassy. I've been trying to call the embassy but only get a busy signal. Also sent them an email. If anyone out there knows what the actual next steps are after being issued, it sure would be great to hear from you. My latest visa extension expires on Sept 26th and I prefer not to extend again if possible.

That is correct. Issued only means the application has been approved after that the visa has to be printed and affixed in the passport, then packaged up with the DO NO OPEN envelope and readied for 2GO to pickup.

I believe the embassy was closed on the 20th also.

what hotline # did you call for 2GO? we're having trouble reaching them! ours JUST changed to "administrative processing" this morning so how long does it typically take to change to ISSUED??? and at what point does it change to "issued" and when does 2go actually mail it out......................

hmm i just hope the embassy doesn't lose her passport.... but i imagine they go thru very secure processes to keep watchful eye on each and everyone's APPROVED passport??? anyone know?

At what point your message will change from AP to Issued, I'm in no position to say. When I called the Dept of State last night to ask about my wife's status of "Issued" I was told that means the embassy is in the process of packaging up her visa related papers and updating her passport. Once that is all done it goes to 2GO. 2GO's hotline #: 233-7136. They get a list of visa packets released by the embassy each weekday, so I was told.
