Hello smile.png

My fiance is an Algerian citizen (in Algeria). I am US citizen (in California). Which is quicker and less hassle: spouse visa or fiancee visa?

His idea is for me to go to Algeria and get married there, then bring him to CA with a spouse visa.

I thought I read somewhere that a fiancee visa is easier.

Thank you ahead of time for your help!! smile.png

Both visa types have their benefits and disadvantages. Basing on current processing times though, K1 is faster by 1-2 months. I think this will be helpful to you:

You're welcome! Maybe it would be good to put Algeria on your profile and hopefully our kind moderators can move your post to a country specific thread so fellow Algerian's who have been through this can provide more feedback regarding special circumstances. Im not very familiar with navigation of VJ yet, but I think this is the Algeria portal:

You can try reposting there :)Hopefully it works!
