Hello everyone

My name is Joanna, I'm 32 and from Malaysia. I met my husband Ryan, 34 on a Christian dating website in 2010. We still can't agree on who 'winked' at who first, but that doesn't really matter now, does it? Anyway long story short, Savage Garden describes our love story better than anyone else through the song "I knew I loved you before I met you" ;-) I must admit I'm a 'family' kinda girl and really touched my heart was that he wanted to email my mother and tell her about our relationship and how he felt about me. He had me right there :)

Ryan made a trip to Malaysia (He didn't even know where Malaysia was on the map before we met!) and proposed in March 2011. I said YES (so did my parents! He asked their permission before even proposing to me) He went back to the US and made the huge decision of moving across the world to Malaysia and arrived in June 2011. We were married in November 2011 in a beautiful church wedding with loads of family and friends. We lived here for 1.5 years before we decided that we need to be back home in the US. So he moved back in May 2013 and got a job in June. In August, he petitioned for me and thus began this excrutiating journey.

I always thought I had like THE most romantic love story, until I read some of your stories! :)

Kept in touch a bit for 4.5 years
02-2011 -Started talking about how to make a relationship work
06-06-2011- Met in Chicago and became a couple, finally!
07-18-2011- I flew back with him to England to meet his family
11-23-2011- He stays with my family and me for three months!
05-16-2012- I flew to England to be with him for a month.
07-15-2012- He flies back to me for another 3 months
12-17-2012- I fly over to England to be with him for 5 months
04-05-2013- We took a trip to Rome, and he asks me to marry him in St. Peter's Square!!!

Interview was easy. My hubby's Oath Ceremony is scheduled for February 25th. I can't watch >sad< but happy he is getting his certificate!

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.
