She should have a prescription for every medicine she intends to bring in the US.

My husband brought 4 months worth of maintenance medicine for his HBP and cholesterol. He got a prescription from his cardiologist.

Since inhalers are available at most pharmacies, in the Phils, without a prescription, I would merely bring along the receipt it you don't have time to see your doctor. I brought 2-3 inhalers with me, for my asthma, on many trips, but have never been questioned. If you're concerned that you may be seen as smuggling them to sell. . . . I guess a Dr.'s note would suffice, but I'm sure it's not even a problem.

But then again. . . . there have been posts about having to empty your luggage at POE! Maybe I should put my fiancee's cigarettes in MY luggage!

My fiancee is coming to USA next week. She has asthma and uses inhalers. We are seeking experiences on anyone who has brought their meds. I am sure her meds are prescription here but not in philippines.

I never had a problem on the meds that I brought back with me everytime I went home. I brought, a box of loperamide, amoxicilin, paracetamol , and other kind of antibiotic that you can only get here if you have prescription. So, I would say, her inhaler would not be a problem. It's just a inhaler, it's her life-saver :)

I was gonna do that, but Nanay saw them and threw them away. She had NO IDEA why anyone would save calamansi seeds. You might want her to bring some more. I'm planning on more than 100 this time! Edited by DavenRoxy

Cat got your tongue? Meow???

As to the meds question, I don't see why anyone would even know about it, and most likely would not care. I brought several different meds over a coupla times. They are OTC in the PI, but prescription here. No one even looked at them.

I thought fruits were illegal to transport?

Keep the rx sticker on the packaging and put it in your hand carry. My fiancee put her steroidal ointment in the luggage without an rx sticker and the agent took it, dismantling the lock in the process.
