i Have my interview in january 2013 for spouse visa.my case was put in administrative processing.I emailed to embassy yesterday and there response was different than standarad.they replied me in following manner.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Our record indicates that the subject immigrant visa case is still pending under administrative processing. Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to predict as to how long it still may take. However as soon as this process has completed, we will contact the applicant using the contact information he/she has provided on his/her form DS-230. Please rest assured that this case has neither been forgotten, nor slipped through the cracks.

WE would like you to know that the available medical in the subject immgrant visa case file expires on December 6, 2013. Therefore, the visa issued to him would be valid only upto this date. If applicant wants to have a full six month validity visa, a new medical must be submitted immediately.

Yours truly,

Immigrant Visa Unit

Consular Section, American Embassy

Islamabad, Pakistan

Can anybody pls guide me that whether it means that my Administrative processing is about to finish or it s simply a standard mail response from embassy?i ll apperciate the respnse

Someone else got a same response yesterday. I just think embassy is being proactive as they are picking up on long overdue Ap cases.

If you are planning to leave for us as soon as you get visa. I would not hurry I get medical until November.
