Bethanie,

Might I suggest that if you want to volunteer yourself to be a personal immigration counselor, that's fine. But I do not appreciate being volunteered, especially in situations where an attorney is clearly called for and perhaps should have been consulted long before now.

While Laurel Scott is an experienced immigration attorney, her specialty is filing for waivers through the Mexican consulate.

Laurel's specialty is waivers in general, not only waivers from Mexico. From attending her chat every week now for over a year, having her take me places where NOBODY else knows to go (including Advisory Opinion-land, MTR, AO with the CDC, etc), and recommending several individuals to her for a VARIETY of issues (such as citizenship) and watching their questions get answered, I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I would trust Laurel with ANY aspect of immigration. She has clients from all over the US and all over the world, not just Mexico. I'm not just saying this-it's 100% true. Along with a specialty in Waivers comes a large knowledge base about causes for inadmissibility, and remedies, which I think is very relevant to Summer's issue!

Everyone...

Thank you sincerely for your concern and care.

We are in the process of finding an immigration attorney to handle this case for us.

To protect my Husband and our privacy I can not state the reason for denial.

Your support and encouragement has been important.

However, I don't want to make more of a mountain out of this, I already have enough stress as it is...

And I have no incentive to say all this other than helping Summer. I'm not getting paid to advertise for Laurel-on the contrary, we paid quite a good deal in legal fees for her services, which were all worth it even DESPITE us not getting the desired results. She does her absolute best with what is given her, I find her to be very warm, personable, and understanding, as well as trustworthy. What more can you ask from an attorney?

Summer, most of the folks here are well meaning and some are just plain nosy.

Personally, I want to see you get the help you need right now.

After you have some resolution to your situation, if you feel like sharing your experience with this community so that others may learn from it, then that might be beneficial to others.

Otherwise you owe us no explanation.

My apologies to you Yodrak. My thought was this gal being pressured to tell her case in an open forum when she obviously did not want to simply because some folks are nosy. Yourself and others have proven to be trust worthy and wouldn't dare share what someone tells you. Nor would she be led in the wrong direction in a pm or forum from folks who know nothing useful. Totally agree she needs legal advice as I suggested, but if she is looking for personal experiences I would want her to get it straight. So again my apologies.

Hi Andy-Summer

I am truly sorry about what you are going through right now. I cannot even image your pain. This poem helped me thought some rough times. I hope you stay strong and hang in there...things will work out for you.

Don't Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will.

When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill.

When funds are low and the debts are high.

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.

When care is pressing you down a bit.

Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is ####### with its twists and turns.

As everyone of us sometimes learns.

And many a failure turns about.

When he might have won had he stuck it out:

Don’t give up though the pace seems slow –

You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out –

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt

And you never can tell how close you are.

It may be near when it seems so far:

So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit –

It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.
